External Program to Execute

  • Replacement tokens are provided for program execution customization. This is useful for programs that handle parameters, e.g. c:\program.exe <%machinename%>, where the machinename is passed to program.exe as the first parameter. WebWatchBot will automatically replace the tokens with the appropriate value when the program is executed. Tokens include:
    • <%DateTime%>
    • <%Date%>
    • <%Time%>
    • <%DateTime24h%> - 24 hour time, e.g. 13:00 instead of 1 PM
    • <%Time24h%> - 24 hour time, e.g. 13:00 instead of 1 PM
    • <%MachineName%>
    • <%WatchItemName%>
    • <%AlarmCondition%> - one of two values: "UP" or "DOWN"
  • Browse - Click on the Browse button to locate a program to execute.
  • Active (Un-checking this check box will prevent the program from running) - By default, this option is not checked/active.
  • Execute in foreground (Application Mode Only)

URL to Execute

  • URL - Enter a URL to load. This field is a drop down list which contains the most recently used URLs entered for convenience.
  • Replacement tokens are provided for URL customization. This is useful for a URL that handles parameters, e.g. http://myurl.com?machinename=<%machinename%>, where the machinename is passed to the URL as part of the query string. WebWatchBot will automatically replace the tokens with the appropriate value when URL is loaded. Tokens include:
    • <%DateTime%>
    • <%Date%>
    • <%Time%>
    • <%DateTime24h%> - 24 hour time, e.g. 13:00 instead of 1 PM
