How can I completely remove all WebWatchBot data and start a fresh install

To completely remove all WebWatchBot data and start a fresh install, please do the following:

If you have installed WebWatchBot with MSDE:

  1. Open WebWatchBot Manager
  2. Stop the WebWatchBot service: Tools -> Stop Service.
  3. Export your configuration: File -> Import/Export -> Export, select all Watch Items and Transactions, plus check all other options.
  4. Locate the data folder: Help -> ExclamationSoft Support -> View Data Folder. A new window will open – do not close it at this time.
  5. Close WebWatchBot Manager
  6. In the data folder window, select all folders that are numbered and delete them. These folders hold output and log files for Watch Items and Transactions.
  7. Delete the database files: WebWatchBot.mdf and WebWatchBot_log.ldf
  8. Uninstall WebWatchBot
  9. Install WebWatchBot
  10. When WebWatchBot Manager starts, import your configuration: File -> Import/Export -> Import


If you have installed WebWatchBot for SQL Server:

  1. Open WebWatchBot Manager
  2. Stop the WebWatchBot service: Tools -> Stop Service.
  3. Export your configuration: File -> Import/Export -> Export, select all Watch Items and Transactions, plus check all other options.
  4. Locate the data folder: Help -> ExclamationSoft Support -> View Data Folder. A new window will open – do not close it at this time.
  5. Close WebWatchBot Manager
  6. In the data folder window, select all folders that are numbered and delete them. These folders hold output and log files for Watch Items and Transactions.
  7. Open SQL Server Manager/Management Studio. Delete the database WebWatchBot
  8. Uninstall WebWatchBot
  9. Install WebWatchBot
  10. When WebWatchBot Manager starts, import your configuration: File -> Import/Export -> Import
